Cross-disciplinary workshop “ Cognitive Control, Communication and Perception: Psychological and Neurobiological Aspects ” , Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russia, December 04 – 06, 2014

We would like to invite you to take part in the cross-disciplinary workshop “Cognitive Control, Communication and Perception: Psychological and Neurobiological Aspects”, which will be held at Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia, on December 04 – 06, 2014.

The workshop is intended as an inaugural event for the newly organised Centre for Cognition & Decision Making (http://www.hse.ru/en/cdm-centre) at the HSE Faculty of Psychology. The centre incorporates a number of individual research groups whose research covers a broad range of topics including attention and decision making, emotions, communication, action and perception (including language comprehension and production), neurodynamics, neuroimaging and computational modelling of neurocognitive processes etc. The centre is committed to establishing and maintaining a strong international programme of research.

Invited talks will be given by:

-        Risto Ilmoniemi, Aalto University, Finland

-        Samuel McClure, Stanford University, USA

-        Pascal Belin, Marseilles, France

-        Risto Naatanen. Helsinki University, Finland

-        Matt Traxler, University of California, Davis, USA

In addition to these invited talks, we are planning to have four sessions of shorter oral presentations by leading researchers in the field such as yourself and, possibly, posters presented by both local and international participants. Oral presentations are by invitation only. The presentations will cover a broad range of topics related to the interdisciplinary research agenda above.
