Foresight-Russia’s second English issue out now
Foresight Russia has published its second English language issue which will be available in electronic form quarterly in sync with the Russian version. ‘Its high quality content from Russia and beyond can now be followed and appreciated by the whole world’, say editors.
From the first issues, Foresight-Russia has published articles by world-class researchers, and today has a pool of authors who are internationally renowned scholars in the fields covered by the title. These specialists’ contributions cover on average about 40% of the total number of articles.
Foresight-Russia’s articles are ranked highly in prestigious Russian and international citation indexes. For several years, the journal has ranked first in the categories ‘Sociology of Science’ and ‘Organisation and Management’, and fifth in ‘Economics.’ The Russian version of Foresight-Russia is already included in leading international databases such as Scopus, SSRN, RePEc, EBSCO, and others. Now it is available to read in English.
Articles in the English issues duplicate those in the Russian edition, and are translated, edited and proofread by native speakers. Both editions preserve the same pagination to avoid a loss of references to the journal’s publications when citing.
Publishing in English is a new beginning for Foresight-Russia — a well-established research journal on futures studies and innovation policy. Its high quality content from Russia and beyond can now be followed and appreciated by the whole world. In this new format, the journal will immensely enhance its capacity to be a forum for scholarly scientific discussion on the key areas of its focus.

HSE ISSEK Researchers Sign Cooperation Agreement with Korean Colleagues
This May, HSE and the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI, Republic of Korea) signed a cooperation agreement on science and advanced technology research. Building a Career Dedicated to Foresight and STI Policy Research
Following years of study and work in South America and Europe, Rafael Popper joined HSE Moscow as Professor of Foresight and STI Governance in January 2018. In addition to his job at HSE, he is Principal Scientist in Business, Innovation and Foresight at a world leading research and technology organization (RTO) called VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. With a PhD on 21st Century Foresight from the University of Manchester, Popper has built a career on wide-ranging research of issues in foresight and STI policy. In a recent interview with the HSE News Service, he spoke in depth about his research interests, philosophy on teaching, collaboration across HSE and his love of languages, among other topics.
