IDE Seminar on ‘Blurring boundaries: the Growing Visibility, Evolving Forms and Complex Implications of Private Supplementary Tutoring’On September 7th the next session of the seminar ‘Actual Research and Development in Education'organized by the HSE Institute for the Development of Education will take place at the HSE. Professor Mark Bray, Director of the Comparative Education Research Centre (CERC) at the University of Hong Kong, will deliver a presentation entitled ‘Blurring boundaries:the Growing Visibility, Evolving Forms and Complex Implications of Private Supplementary Tutoring'. Mark Bray is Director of the Comparative Education Research Centre (CERC) at the University of Hong Kong. He has taught at that university since 2006, prior to which he taught in secondary schools in Kenya and Nigeria and at the Universities of Edinburgh, Papua New Guinea and London. Between 2006 and 2010 he took leave from the University of Hong Kong to hold the post of Director of UNESCO's International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) in Paris. Professor Bray has also been President (2004-07) of the World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES). He has written extensively in the fields of comparative education and administration and financing of education. Working language:English with simultaneous translation into Russian.
