The HSE in ЕDUNIVERSALThe results of the 2011 international ranking of the 1000 best business schools in the world have been announced at the annual conference of EDUNIVERSAL, an independent ranking agency. The Higher School of Economics has again received the ‘3 Palmes’ nomination among Russian universities (Business School Ranking in Russia). The EDUNIVERSAL Palm award is an acknowledgement of a business school’s authority in the national educational space. The ranking is made on the basis of criteria developed by the EDUNIVERSAL International Scientific Committee which is made up of independent experts and representatives from ACUNS – the Academic Council on the United Nations System. The criteria for evaluating business schools are multi-dimensional and include the presence of international accreditations and membership of international business education associations, quality of the programmes and the level of the lecturers, local and international partnerships, positions in other key international and national rankings and the number of references in media publications. Special emphasis is given to the results of a vote among 1000 business school and university deans from all over the world. The deans are asked ‘Which business school would you recommend to your students in this country?’. On the basis of this survey, a ‘recommendation rate’ is created. This achievement follows the recent news that the MBA programme in Finance at the HSE Higher School of Management (HSM) has entered the Top 200 Best Masters in Corporate Finance Global Ranking, and the MBA programme in Strategic Management in Fashion Industry (HSM) has entered the Top 50 Best Masters in Luxury Management: Fashion Global Ranking.
