HSE Lecturer Takes Part in TEDx Conference in Nizhny Novgorod

Dmitry Bosnak, Lecturer at the Faculty of Humanities at HSE Nizhny Novgorod, recently spoke at TEDxYouth@KulibinPark. For many students, such events are a great opportunity to improve their English.

The event was organized by two HSE graduates - Elizaveta Fomina (Faculty of Humanities) and Anastasia Polozova (Faculty of Management) and took place at the ‘Arsenal’ National Centre for Contemporary Arts ‘ in Nizhny Novgorod. The main goal of TEDx is to share ideas and findings generated by people from the local community. This is why different speakers – including programmers, business coaches, and professors – took part in the conference in Nizhny Novgorod. The working language of the event was English.

In his talk ‘What Truth Does Literature reveal to us?’ Dmitry Bosnak raised the question of literature’s true value. He suggests that its purpose is to show the reader something completely opposite to his or her initial expectations. The whole talk by Dmitry Bosnak is available on YouTube.
