Research papers

Updated and full versions of participants' research papers can be found on the website. Don't forget that we continue preparation of the new Book of Research Papers following the Summer Seminar of 2010 . You can access the previous books in PDF format at our website. Please, submit your essays until October, 20 to summerbaltika@gmail.com (10-12 pp., Times New Roman 12), and later they will be sent for reviewing to the Editorial Board.

Baltic Practice partners - the European Wergeland Centre

The European Wergeland Centre is a European resource centre on education for intercultural understanding, human rights and democratic citizenship, which has been established in cooperation between Norway and the Council of Europe. The EWC is a strategic partner of Baltic Practice research project and has offered significant assistance in preparation of the summer seminar in Oslo in 2010. During the seminar the participants will meet the EWC staff and visit the centre itself. You can learn more about the European Wergeland Centre and its activities by following the link .

WINTER SEMINAR PROGRAMME

Winter Seminars are aimed at laying out strategic plans for the Summer Seminar of Baltic Practice. It includes choosing the 'core' issue of the year, defining the interdisciplinary working groups and their topics, setting out organizational tasks for the student committee, and much more. Reviewing completed

Members of the Editorial Board have reviewed 22 research papers submitted by the students. Six papers were rated as publishable without further editing, the rest  - as requiring some minor editing (e.g. adding footnotes, making some parts less lengthy, some - more detailed) or more substantial change (e.g. restructuring, making the conclusions and methodology more clear etc.). For those who are still working on their papers after receiving the reviews - please note that the deadline for final versions is January, 9.

Baltic News: Presentation held on Dec, 7; Research papers submitted to Editorial Board; Winter seminar in mid-January.

On December, 8 we held another presentation of Baltic Practice research project. We had an inspiring talk with the proactive students from World Economics and World Politics, Management and Journalism departments.  There were many questions about the upcoming Winter seminar which is going to take place in the first weekend after the New Year break (i.e. around January, 15-17). Editorial Board being formed

The Editorial Board, comprising experts and academicians from research centers and universities both in Russia and abroad, is being established, which will ensure a higher quality of research papers. So far some prominent researchers have already agreed to become members of the Board, and you can read about them on the Editorial Board page .

Deadline for papers submission - October 1

The academic council established October 1 as the deadline for participants to submit the final texts of papers (for some groups the deadline is set for October 3). If the papers are submitted in timely fashion, they will be forwarded to the editor until October 15.
