In August 2008, State University Higher School of Economics (HSE) received a grant from Department of Education of Russian Federation to develop a joint United States-Russian Federation educational program in global economics. Our partner became Stanford University.

To be more precise three groups of faculty at Stanford work together to provide broad expertise in and exposure to this collaboration: Stanford University School of Education’s economics of education program, the Stanford Center for International Development (SCID), affiliated with the economics department, and the Stanford Center of Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES).

Between September 10th and 16th,‘Stanford Week’ organized by the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs took place at the HSE. Leading Stanford professors conducted short courses of lectures and master classes for students. Below is a selection of their comments about the event.
