Functions and Responsibilities

• Organizes applied research, expertise, consultations, statistical and monitoring investigations and other research except from fundamental;
• Provides elaboration of statistical and other reports on the completion by the HSE of scientific and research works;
• Supervises the effectiveness of the implementation of research by HSE research departments;
• Organizes the preparation for publication of scientific, methodical, statistical, informational and analytical papers;
• Coordinates the interaction between HSE research departments and external clients;
• Carries out methodic administration of the HSE regional branches in terms of research, expert and analytical activities.

• Statistics of science, innovation, education and information society.
• Development of concept problems, statistical and sociological research, analysis and forecasting of trends of development of the new economy and its sectors.
• Research in the area of building and implementation of R&D and innovative policies.
• Development of issues of socio-economic statistics theory, indicator systems and classifications, methods and organization of statistical monitoring, implementation of international standards to national statistical procedures and creation of statistical information systems.
• International cooperation development in science, innovations, education, communication and IT.
