HSE Participates in Lycée Français Education Fair

On Saturday, December 3, HSE participated for the first time in the Career and University Fair at Lycée Français Alexandre Dumas de Moscow.

Each year, the event is held to introduce students to different universities where they can continue their studies and gives them the chance to talk one-on-one with professors. This year, HSE students and professors were invited to participate alongside representatives from the Embassy of France and companies including Auchan and Rosbank.

Joining HSE were other Russian, French, and Swiss universities. Students reviewed university materials and spoke with university representatives. HSE was represented by Alina Ageeva, International Admissions manager, Madina Mameshova, International College of Economics and Finance Dean of Students, and Eskander Dhouib, a current student in the International Relations Bachelor’s program. Eskander gave students a first-hand account of HSE’s admissions process and his experiences studying thus far. Two other HSE students, Anna Krylov (World Economy and International Affairs) and Vincent Kersuzan (International Business), also shared their experiences at HSE.

At the same time, several round table discussions were held for professionals to informally discuss their careers. Associate professors Evgeny Smirnov (Faculty of Mathematics) and Natalia Zhukova (French Language Department) led discussions.

Closing remarks were delivered by Ekaterina Mac Farlane, the event’s organizer, and Therese Delaubier, the school’s director. Plans are currently underway for a seminar to be held with representatives from Lycée Français in HSE’s French Language Department.
