Европейская летняя школа «Исследуя предпринимательство»

19-25 августа в кампусе Университета Твенте (Нидерланды), одного из быстро развивающихся предпринимательских университетов Европы, пройдет летняя школа «Исследуя предпринимательство». В числе организаторов: Гронингенский университет (Нидерланды), Шеффилдский университет (Великобритания) и НИУ ВШЭ (Россия). Тема школы в этом году — «Технологическое предпринимательство».

Supported by the HSE since 2011 will be held this year on Sunday 19.08 — Saturday 25.08 at the campus of Twente university (Netherlands), one of the rapidly developing entrepreneurial universities in Europe, with some co-organizers like Groningen university (NL), Sheffield university (UK) and the HSE (Russia).

The leading topic of the year will be “Technology Entrepreneurship”.

The one week intensive summer school will provide different forms of activities for students, including lectures by well-known researchers in Entrepreneurship, workshops, keynote speeches and self-preparation by students as the general framework for the days.

Size: we aim at 30-40 students from all over the Europe and hope for a good international mix as well as a sound balance of BA, MA and exceptionally also PhD students from various disciplines. 

Fee: 250€ per student from partner universities and 450€ per student from third parties. The fee includes lunches on working days, coffee breaks, catering at the reception, the final dinner, and transportation to outside venues. This fee is excluding accommodation and travel to the University Twente.

Accommodation: The Twente team works towards securing low-cost accommodation options either on or off campus.

Cultural programme: Twente university is located in Enschede, Netherlands, close to the German border. The summer school will be held at the time of a local art festival there. Besides, it is a short distance to Amsterdam, Düsseldorf and Münster as well as some other cultural places in Benelux and Germany. Whether some elements of the local cultural programme can be covered for the fees, will become visible after a detailed inspection of the budget. 

Application: Students interested in participating at this unique summer school in Europe, being a good intro to the area of Entrepreneurship research, should send their requests to the local organizer Prof. Alexander Chepurenko (achepurenko@hse.ru). The application package includes a filled in questionnaire (attached). The costs of best 5 applicants (sound motivation, clear prerequisites, like annual work, paper, presentation etc. reflecting the interest in the academic field of entrepreneurship research, sufficient level of English language) will be partly covered, partly or reimbursed by the HSE (flight and rail rickets and accommodation; except visa costs, medical insurance and living costs in Twente).

Application deadline is April, 27!

Preparation: Students adopted to participate at the summer school, are expected to be prepared to carefully read a few papers introducing each subject of the summer school and to choose one of the topics subject of preparation in mixed groups of participants during the stay in Twente to present at the final day.

Certificates of participation: will be issued to all participants who would successfully pass the programe. The certificate would confirm a 2 ECTS workload (within the BA track Sociology at the HSE).
