Course Syllabus

Abstract

This course is aimed at developing students ' academic skills necessary for using English language in educational, scientific and professional activities, further education, as well as research activities.
Learning Objectives

Learning Objectives

  • The course is aimed at helping students of the pre-intermediate level of English or lower overcome the language barrier and grow into independent language users.
Expected Learning Outcomes

Expected Learning Outcomes

  • Increase students' vocabulary in everyday and academic spheres
  • Strengthen students' grammar competence
  • Teach students effective listening and reading strategies that will enable them to understand authentic discourse
  • Develop students' writing skills through short essays, emails and journals
  • Help students become more confident speakers by participating in role-plays and delivering presentations
