Course Syllabus

Abstract

In this course students will be introduced to the basic ideas behind the quantitative research in social science. They will learn about data collection, description, analysis and interpretation in quantitative research.

  • To give the students the knowledge of principles of solid scientific methods in the behavioral and social sciences.
  • To cover the fundamental principles of science, some history and philosophy of science, research designs, measurement, sampling and ethics

  • Distinguish experimental, quasi-experimental and correlational designs
  • Is able to determine who potential participants are and how they will be selected and recruited
