Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course is aimed at learning of the role of intermodal transportation in modern logistics and supply chains and the principles of intermodal transportation management. The course provides additional knowledge on modern transport systems and encourages the improvement of professional discussion in English skills
Learning Objectives
- Getting the basic knowledge on intermodal transportation management principles and technologies
Expected Learning Outcomes
- • Knowledge of factors that had determined the creation and development of the Intermodal concept
- Knowledge of of principal ideas of intermodal transportation and the basic models of intermodal transport services
- Understanding the role and principles of infrastructure development in intermodal transport system
- Understanding the role of different transport modes in modern intermodal systems
- Student actively implements the standards and regulations concerning the container system

Assessment Elements
- Intermediate TestA testing list with ten questions is sent to studendts, filled up offline and sent back to be checked Evaluation criteria: the per cent of correct answers forms the mark jn a ten-point scale
- Final examExamination test list with 30 questions sent to the students, filled up and sent back to be checked
- Presentation at the seminarStudents make individual or group presentations at the seminars
Interim Assessment
- 2025/2026 3rd module0.44 * Final exam + 0.28 * Intermediate Test + 0.28 * Presentation at the seminar
