Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course was designed for 2nd year students to develop and advance their competency in debate skills, academic research and writing skills. This course is built around the set of debate skills, formed through oral and written practice in the discussion of content-material relevant to international relations major. It is also built around the set of research and academic writing skills, formed through oral and written practice.
Learning Objectives
- to develop advanced competency in oral and written construction of critical discourse based on Superior-level English-language proficiency (according to ACTFL scale)
- to develop advanced competency in research methods and academic writing
