Course Syllabus
Abstract
The course objective is to make an introduction for the postgraduate students to the field of academic communications in English. To present an academic project is rather a challenging situation for students, especially in English.
Learning Objectives
- The main aim of the course is to provide the students with oral presentation skills in order to introduce a discussion of a topic or research paper. An oral presentation should be built up in order to trigger an academic discussion.
Expected Learning Outcomes
- The main role will belong to studying literature, cultural references and social-cultural differences.
Course Contents
- Introduction – academic communication fieldThe aim is connected with the understanding of different aspects of cross-cultural communication and discourse analysis tracing through case-study.
