Course Syllabus

Abstract

A goal of the course is to improve the students` knowledge of the Russian language while reading texts, doing grammar and lexical exercises, pair and group in-class speaking practice, basing on their knowledge that, at the start of the course, should not be less than of A1 level. The course material is organized by topics of every-day life however learnt with more vocabulary and grammar peculiarities.

  • Students will know grammar and lexic constructions (Grammar: 1. Case system (nouns, adjectives, personal and possessive pronouns, and ordinal numbers): 1.1. Prepositional case, 1.2. Acusative case, 1.3. Genitive case, 1.4. Dative case, 1.5. Instrumental case)
  • Students will know how verbs work in Russian language. Russian verb: .1. Verbs of motion, including prefixed verbs.2. Aspects and tenses of Russian verb 3. Reflexive verbs 4. Conjugation, type 1 and type 2
