Программа дисциплины

Аннотация

Learning how to learn: powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects is a one-module course designed for 1st-year students of the Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communication programme. To fulfill the requirements of the course students need to have a good command of written and spoken English (required CEFR language proficiency level is B2). This course gives an easy access to the invaluable learning techniques used by experts in art, music, literature, math, science, sports, and many other disciplines. Students will learn how the brain uses two very different learning modes and how it encapsulates (“chunks”) information. This course also covers illusions of learning, memory techniques, dealing with procrastination, and best practices shown by research to be most effective in helping to master tough subjects.
