Аннотация

This is an introductory course on presenting the results of a project in English. The course is specially tailored to meet the needs of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) students who are working on IT projects. We will learn how to make audience-oriented project presentations and how to write concise project reports that will maximise reader’s understanding with minimal effort. In doing so, we will expand our vocabulary common to this type of discourse. All classes are held in English. The course includes writing a project report and giving a project presentation as part of the assessment process. Prerequisites required to enrol in this course: Students are majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Students completed the second year studies Students successfully passed the Independent English Exam or hold an international certificate (not lower than IELTS Band 6, TOEFL 60, Cambridge exams B2)

Цель освоения дисциплины

This course will help STEM students present their projects effectively both in written and spoken formats. STEM Students will understand and practice the elements needed to successfully deliver their project presentations to wide audiences and will be equipped with the tools to write a properly structured project report.
