Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course focuses on applying quantitative economic models to the analysis of broadly understood legal and institutional systems. It covers both traditional (crime, legal procedure, corruption) and more recent (intellectual property, privacy, irrational behavior) topics in Law and Economics. Prerequisites: undergraduate knowledge of microeconomics and game theory, basic calculus and probability

Learning Objectives

• During the course the students will get familiar with applications of an economic toolbox to an analysis of non-economic subjects with a focus on legal and institutional issues.
