Course Syllabus

Abstract

Platforms (like Uber, Airbnb, Couchsurfing) disrupt the models of interactions between economic agents. Students will learn how platforms function, what is the difference between them and traditional companies, what benefits and risks they create for the society. Special attention will be paid to financial (crowdfunding) platforms and to their use as a source of finance for startups and non-commercial projects.
