Course Syllabus

Abstract

As a part of the elective, the invited experts from top companies participate in blocks of lectures, where they give basic knowledge of their sphere and share their experience. The program is divided into 3 parts: introduction to industries, consulting and finance. The invited experts’ objective – to tell students what a candidate needs to know when applying for job in each company or industry. That is why all lectures are aimed at specifics of work in a particular sphere. In addition, experts will solve cases with students that are similar to the projects they are working on. After the end of thematic blocks, multiple forms of control are carried out (tests, mini-projects, homeworks, case interviews). Students who receive the highest score for the elective will get an advantage in the selection process in companies, the speakers of which have been invited. Upon completion of the elective, all students will receive a certificate, which will be a good addition to the portfolio.

  • Familiarity with potential industries for employment through communication with experts. This will allow students to form an impression of the professional field and adjust the vision of their own career track based on this knowledge

  • Acquisition of Hard Skills: the skill of analysing industries, problem-solving, critical reasoning, the skill of professional slide design (graphs, Think-Cell)
  • Acquisition of Soft Skills: the formation and awareness of your career path, the acquisition of a network of contacts, logical thinking skill
  • High awareness of individual industries and companies functioning, which will increase the competitive advantage of students and increase the chances of their selection
