Аннотация
«Научно-исследовательский семинар “История религиозных идей и практик”» даёт представление об основных методах написания квалификационного академического текста и демонстрирует возможности исследовательской работы на примере блока проблем, связанных с темой теодицеи в эпоху модерна, а также ряда других актуальных проблем комплексного знания о религии и религиозной жизни. Religious Dualism and the History of Religion (Yuri Stoyanov) This course intends to examine the nature, role and development of the principal traditions of religious dualism in the history of religion. There will be a special focus on the dynamics of the interrelations between trends of religious dualism and the Abrahamic religions and the consequent theological tensions and polemics within Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The course will examine the crucial implications of these interrelations for the construction of the Abrahamic faiths’ normative orthodoxies, particularly in the areas of forging strategies of defining, repudiating and overcoming doctrinal deviances, heterodoxy, and heresy. Other course topics will include: the role of dualism in religio-historical, philosophical and sociological discourse, dualism in monotheism and polytheism, the phenomenon of dual symbolic classification and typologies of religious dualism; the historical diffusion of the principal forms of religious dualism, and the problem of “Eurasian dualism”.
