Strategic Risk Management Of Oil Company. (An Example Of The Bolivian Oil Fields Corporation)
The importance of this study is based on analysis of risk management that contributes to the subsidiaries of the YPFB corporation efficiently handle the chances of losses that may be exposed because of various deficiencies in the management of its assets, human resources, technology and information and others, inferring on productivity and increasing the risk, likewise have knowledge of various risk management systems that can be applied to minimize their exposure to uncertain future. The methodology used was descriptive non-experimental design, the study population is composed of eleven (11) subsidiary companies that make up the YPFB Corporation, these are: YPFB Chaco S.A., YPFB Andina S.A., YPFB Petroandina S.A., YPFB Transporte S.A., YPFB Refinacion S.A., YPFB Logistica S.A., YPFB Aviacion S.A., YPFB Gas Transboliviano S.A., YPFB Central Bulo Bulo S.A., YPFB Flamagas S.A., YPFB Transierra S.A.. For the study of variable risk management was completed a questionnaire by the staff of YPFB of different areas. The COSO-ERM diagnosis was made with a filling of a questionnaire based on the information obtained based on the analysis of information and collaboration of personnel assigned . With the aid of these two instruments we proceeded to the analysis of results, obtaining similar responses in both components, concluding that the risk is present in all subsidiaries and the implementation of the necessary controls and tools for risk management could improve the level of business and avoid losses in the process.
