Comparative Analysis of the 1st Year Resitting Students Progress
There are numerous research papers that have been devoted to examining retention and drop out rates during higher education. These papers suggest a different number of variables that are related to persistence in university as well as identifying best practices to encourage degree attainment. All the researchers highlight the increasing complexity of our understanding of patterns of drop - out rate, as well as the depth of our current inquiry into retention. This research paper will provide a brief overview of existing studies related to undergraduate retention in International College of Economics and Finance, followed by factors commonly related to undergraduate retention. Basing on logistic regression analysis the main predictors of the retention will be evaluated. This paper will also estimate the effect of engagement, financial background, and level of satisfaction on students academic performance.
