Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence, Creativity and Job Satisfaction
Прикладная социальная психология
This study examines whether the phenomenon of creativity acts as a mediator in the relationship of components of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, and also test the existence of connection between components of emotional intelligence, creativity and job satisfaction. We conducted the quantitative analysis to check that connection within the organizational context (150 HR specialists from recruitment companies). Results show that there is a connection between some components of emotional intelligence (Lusin’s approach) and creativity, and between some components of emotional intelligence (Lusin’s approach) and job satisfaction (Lusin, 2004). Moreover, it has been found that creativity serves as a mediator in the relationship between one component of emotional intelligence (Lusin’s approach to emotional intelligence): “managing your own emotions” and job satisfaction. However, the mediation effect was not significant for all of the rest of components of emotional intelligence. Such results partially prove the existed theories of connection between these three variables, however, more deeply research of the relations between diverse components of emotional intelligence, creativity and job satisfaction are needed, especially in various context.
