Labor Demand for the Blockchain Technology
In this particular work some research about the labor demand for the blockchain technology was carried out. The regions for this research were chosen on a basis of the size of the city and technological level: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Krasnodar. The main goal of this research was examining the possible determinants for further modeling the labor demand for the blockchain technology and identifying components of it’s growth. As wage is the most significant component of the labor demand, it was precisely examined and a positive econometric relation was found. In other words, demand occurred to be elastic over wage. Moreover, the decrease in average wage of the whole industry would attract employees into the blockchain labor market. This confirms the main hypothesis of this research of that average employees will be willing to change their preferences towards the blockchain industry as wages on it’s labor market are constantly growing as well as number of firms and number of blockchain specialists employed. This tendency might change in the future because of the problem of overcrowding in the blockchain labor market. But this surely will not happen in 5 future years.
