Network Analysis of Scientific Interactions on the Arctic Problems
Прикладная математика и информатика
Due to the gradual reduction of the Arctic Sea ice and climate change around the world, many researchers are interested in the Arctic region. That is why the amount of research on this region is increasing, and every year the community of scientists is growing. There is no complete review of all literature on the Arctic which can help scientists find their way through the variety of scientific works. Existing studies on the Arctic problem have been analyzed for the last 15 years, being accessed through the citation database Web of Science. The data consisted of 43602 publications from 6163 journals which were written by 103623 authors on 154 areas in 14989 organizations from 155 countries. Both well-known and new methods of network analysis were used in order to find critical elements and to identify the links between research clusters, scientific organizations and areas.
