India has been adopting new technologies in economy steadily, and at a faster rate post 1990s, as India opened up economy to global trade and gave up on planned economy, India has observed disruptions in occupation and wage structure, this study aims at understanding nexus of technology, labour demand and employment at multiple levels, namely at individual labour level, firm level and Industry level, we estimate labour demand using a dynamic labour demand equation, we find that despite increased use of capital, and decreased requirement of labour per output, overall labour demand has increased, though labour structure has changed in occupation composition and Industry composition, labour has moved from conventional agriculture and manufacturing industries towards services and quaternary sectors, we also attempt to estimate the nature of occupation structure emerging due to adoption of technology, to find demand for routine and repetitive jobs are falling against demand for non-repetitive occupations. This study will also investigate aspects of continuous education and continuous skilling effects on labour change, and continuous education and skilling as an adaption tool for technological change. investigate question of technological, further concluding this study will question alarmist view of large-scale technological unemployment, and current readiness of Indian labour force to adapt to such changes
