Повышение адаптивности и устойчивости к изменениям кафе "Котики и Люди": адаптация международных практик

Currently, many social enterprises are facing difficulties in sustaining their business activities due to the pandemic. “Kotiki I Liudy” has the same situation, as the lockdown negatively impacted its organizational resilience. However, very little attention has been paid to such cat-cafés that shelter animals. On average, these social entrepreneurial organizations are very fragile to survive the crisis, as they are willing to fulfil the social mission and rely on their own earnings at the same time. This study aims to reveal best practices that can be implemented as a response to COVID-19 consequences. Previous literature on social entrepreneurship and organizational resilience was discussed. Methods utilized include “Kotiki I Liudy” ‘s analysis and risk mitigation planning for enhancing organizational resilience. Empirical research based on publicly available data of cat-cafés across the world and surveys, interviews with their managers and administrators was also conducted. This investigation allowed to deeper understand the nature of social entrepreneurship and its resistance development. While the findings provide best international practices and mitigation strategies for improving six resilience indicators (material resources, preparedness and planning, information management, technology, governance, and social collaboration culture), the work concludes with useful recommendations and implications for enhancing resistance of the cat-café to the challenging environment.
