How did the department appear?

For three months, self-motivated students were trained in the PR department of the School - this format was implemented at #incommhse for the first time. Depending on the chosen work profile, students were involved in organizing online events, creating content for social media or design.

As part of the internship, each student could use all their creativity and knowledge gained, being a part of the Department's team. Experienced mentors - employees of the PR department worked with the students. As a result of the internship, all students will receive a certificate, and some of them continue to work in the Student Communications Department!

What work is there in the Student Communications Department?

As well as during the internship, now there are SMM, Event and design departments.

SMM. Here students work on the development of the School's social media. Everyone is responsible for a certain rubric so that the content is as diverse as possible, but at the same time structured. Events and “faces” of educational programs, useful information, memes, curious facts - students offer and create content that would be useful and interesting to them in the first place, so our social media is never boring :)

Design. Design students are responsible for the visual content, creating a consistent style for our accounts. If have seen our monthly horoscope with the adorable crows on our Instagram, you will hardly forget ever it!

We worked on the visual design of the School's social media, partially shaped their current appearance. I finally got the chance to try my hand at creating illustrations! I did not hesitate to agree to continue working with the Department and I hope to bring a lot more creativity and funny crows to our social media :)

Event. The School of Integrated Communications strives not only to provide high-quality knowledge to students, but also to make extracurricular life rich. Now students are also involved in the preparation of the events. Open days, open lectures, film screenings and other events require careful preparation: from the idea itself to its full implementation. In the context of distance learning, it is important to adjust to a new format, to preserve the atmosphere of offline events online. Students in the event department are very helpful in solving this problem.

For me, it is valuable that not just doers are raised here from us, but real creators! For example, as part of the internship, my idea was supported and implemented with a large map of the world, on which the hometowns of all students are marked. Now this card adorns the corridors of the School!

What does the Student Communications Department give participants?

Almost any student dreams of using their knowledge in practice, and doing this within the walls of the university is especially interesting! Participants in the Student Communications Department consider the internship and subsequent work in the department to be an excellent experience, an opportunity to prove themselves and, of course, an important bonus in the portfolio.

In addition, an important part of the target audience with which the PR department of the School of Integrated Communications works is the students and applicants themselves. Therefore, the students in the department are well aware of what content and what events will be relevant for their coursemates and enrollees who dream of going to HSE, just like they did a few years ago.

An internship in my specialization in our school immediately seemed like an excellent opportunity for me, and the news of the continuation of the internship made me even more happy. When you are a student yourself, you know perfectly well what worries students, which means you understand the target audience of the school's PR department. I think this is a great chance to get professional skills and start your career!
