ICEF held a ceremony of commendation letters awards from LSE

This autumn ICEF BSc programme’s 3rd and 4th year students received awards and commendation letters for outstanding results at international examinations, and an official proof of these achievements was delivered to ICEF a few days ago.

ICEF held a ceremony of commendation letters awards from LSE

While awarding the students with the tubes engraved with LSE symbols and important papers from London, Oleg Zamkov told us a story. Last year the same tubes with commendation letters and certificates signed by the examination committee chairman, were considerably larger, which made the vigilant Russian customs officers suspect trafficking in Christmas Eve at university community, and so the shipment was intercepted.

Of course, all ended well, but these commendation letters were given to students only after a long delay.

This year tubes are smaller and arrived on time, and our students were given the reward for their hard work on New Year’s eve.

Each year ICEF BSc students receive the world highest awards on key professional courses of LSE international programme. This year these are Mathematical Methods, Elements of Econometrics, Introduction to Economics, Financial intermediation and Corporate finance.

In 2019 70 students were awarded for distinguished results, and they received special prizes and commendation letters. Some of them became prizewinners in several nominations. Albert Belkov and Stanislav Makarov were awarded three times in all categories, and Kamila Shafigullina, Matvey Anisimov and Alexandra Kovrigina became prize-winners twice.
