ICEF has launched an Endowment Fund

On January 13, 2020, an Endowment for ICEF Development was formed within the HSE Endowment Fund. This is the way to gain sustainability in the long-term perspective. The first donor of the ICEF endowment was UniCredit Bank.

ICEF has launched an Endowment Fund

How does the HSE endowment work?

Like any major world university, HSE has an Endowment Fund, acting as an independent financial source that provides sustainable development to key projects. Endowment may finance research in a certain field, scholarships and grant programmes, or help launch new initiatives which are difficult to fund from dependent sources – for example, the development of design projects for the construction and repair of campus buildings. The HSE Endowment Fund was created by three founders – Alexander Shokhin, Evgeny Yasin and Yaroslav Kuzminov in 2007. Currently, the total fund value is about 1 billion rubles.

Why does ICEF need an Endowment?

The HSE International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) was created as a result of cooperation between two national universities – the London School of Economics (LSE) and HSE. The collaboration has absorbed the best of two academic cultures, and now ICEF is confidently facing the future as one of the leading centers for research and education in economics and finance in Eastern Europe. The Endowment will help ICEF continue to develop and maintain the status of internationally recognized centre of excellence and integrate with the global academic community more closely.

With the Endowment support, ICEF will also be able to provide more opportunities for the professional and personal development of students and spend more on cutting-edge research.

83 graduates

are currently listed as HSE Endowment Fund donors.

The main goals for which the ICEF endowment funds will be accumulated:

  • building sustainable long-term sources for financing the university academic development;

  • maintaining and delivering a world-leading research;

  • ensuring the modern infrastructure and learning environment;

  • providing accessibility of international ICEF programmes for a variety of students, regardless of the income of their families;

How to make donation to the ICEF endowment?

Both a person or a company can make a contribution. To do this, you have to enter a standard donation agreement and transfer the amount of donation to the HSE Endowment Fund account. The funds will be transferred to VTB Capital Asset Management, which carries out the trust management of ICEF endowment assets.
While a web page for public fundraising is in 'coming soon' status, to make a donation you need to contact following people.
