New ICEF Full Time Academics

Two new academics will start their work at ICEF in September 2020. They have already met ICEF researchers and were interviewed on the ASSA Meeting – a global academic community job market which took place in San Diego this January.

Runjie (Roger) Geng is expected to receive his PhD in banking and finance from the University of Zurich this summer. He has carried out research at Yale University and currently works in the Swiss Finance Institute. He received his master’s and bachelor’s degree at Shanghai Jiaotong University.

His research interests include Asset Pricing, Financial Economics, Behavioral Macro-finance, and General Equilibrium Theory.

In 2018 Roger received Swiss Finance Institute Best Paper Doctoral Award for his article “Recursive equilibria in dynamic economies with bounded rationality”. Roger has already visited ICEF this year when he presented his work at a job market seminar.

Peio Zuazo-Garin is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Economic Analysis at The University of the Basque Country in Bilbao, where he obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree, and later a PhD in Economics. His main scientific interests span Economic Theory and Game Theory. Currently he works on his publication “Rationality under Bounded Cognition”. He also conducts joint research with his colleagues in the area of Game Theory.

He has given courses at Maastricht University, University of Seville and Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Peio conducted research at Northwestern University in the USA and his research articles have been published in peer-reviewed articles including Theoretical Economics and Games and Economic Behavior.
