Cinema Club is back in action!

Finally, the long-awaited opening of the Сinema club took place at our programme. Students in the company of their professors, to the accompaniment of delicious food and not less "delicious" discussion watched the "best film of all time" - "Citizen Kane."

It was the viewing of the legendary American drama / detective of 1941 "Citizen Kane" that motivated our students to gather together on Friday night after a hard working week. Repeatedly recognized by film critics for a thoughtful script, high-quality filming and professional acting, not only does the picture intrigue by its fascinating plot, but also it reminds of the importance of remaining faithful to one’s ideals and not making a deal with conscience on the path to career heights. The modern format of «life in flow», unfortunately, often deprives a person of the opportunity to take a pause and comprehend what is happening around, which meanwhile is necessary for harmonious personal development.

 

The cinema club provides our students with just such a chance: to take a two-hour “day off” from reality and allow themselves to plunge into the world of creativity, pleasant discussions and remote observation of themselves. We are actors on a day-to-day basis, while sometimes it is worth trying yourself as a spectator not only in the cinema, but also in life. We welcome everyone to join our company of good film lovers and, of course, benefit from the opportunity to practice English once again!
