Graduation 2024: a Touching Farewell
June 30, the diploma award ceremony for the graduates of the International Relations and Global Studies programme took place at the HSE Cultural Centre.
Not so long ago, our dear graduates were anxiously awaiting the start of their first year, their first class, and their first exams; and now they have gathered at the HSE Cultural Center to celebrate the awarding of their diplomas. The ceremony featured farewell speeches from the faculty, touching words from beloved professors, and expressions of gratitude from the graduates.
The event was hosted by the third-year IRGS students Matvey Demidov and Maria Tikhonchuk. Junior students participated in the graduation as volunteers. The celebration truly united all the students.
The student anthem "Gaudeamus," the traditional graduation oath, the dean's birthday congratulations, and many other moments will be remembered for a long time. At the end of the event, Veronika Sizova, the IRGS graduate, performed the song "A Million Voices”. The performance was accompanied by a touching slideshow showing some photos of the university life which made every student join in singing the song.
111 graduates put on their gowns and simultaneously tossed their caps into the air — a symbol of the successful completion of their studies. Good luck to everyone.
