Dear students!
On 13 March, the campaign for the selection of minors for the 24/25 academic year will start.
Minor selection is compulsory for 1st year Bachelor and Specialist students.
New: from this year all students who have fully mastered the minor will receive a micro-qualification diploma in addition to their main diploma.
The selection will take place on the SmartWay platform.
The campaign will take place in 2 waves.
Preparing for the selection:
11 March, 10:50 - 12 March, 18:00 (Moscow time).
In the preview mode you will be able to familiarise yourself with the list of minors available to you, their implementation features, specify the list of disciplines to be studied and what kind of micro-qualification you will receive.
Wave 1:
13 March, 10:50 - 15 March, 18:00 (Moscow time).
You need to choose five minors that are the most interesting for you and prioritise them. You can change the list of selected minors and their priority until the end of the wave.
Wave 2:
21 March, 10:50 - 23 March, 18:00 (Moscow time)
If you didn't manage to get to your chosen minor during the first wave, you will be able to make a new choice from the remaining minors.
The full campaign timeline and instructions for working in the SmartWay system are available at the link. Refer technical questions using the ‘Contact Technical Support’ button in SmartWay after opening the module.
Attention: on the pages of all the minors that are already being implemented now, information about feedback on that minor from other students is available, based on comments from the 2023 Student Evaluation of Teaching. In order to give you an overview of the strengths of each minor and to help you understand what you can expect from the process of studying its courses, a special ‘Student Feedback’ tab contains YandexGPT-generated summaries of the key points that students have commented most positively on in that minor, and examples of specific comments from students that directly address the issue in even more detail.
