On September 10th, 2022, Students from the Cognitive Neurobiology Bachelor's Program Had Their First Practical Workshop on the Zoology of Invertebrates

The new laboratory of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, equipped with the most modern devices and equipment, hosted the first practical workshop on the zoology of invertebrates

Undergraduate students in Cognitive Neurobiology learned about the diversity of free-living microscopic unicellular organisms. Students mastered modern light microscopes and were able to see the fine organization of skeletal elements of marine foraminifera and radiolarians, as well as observe living amebae in culture. The amoeba culture was kindly provided from the collection of free-living 'proteus-type' amoebae strains by the laboratory of cytology of unicellular organisms of the INC RAS (SPb).
