The Measles Vaccine Is Again Available at HSE. Why Is It So Important to Get Vaccinated?

Because measles is already near. Don’t forget that there was a case of the measles in the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design at Khitrovsky pereulok, 2/8, building 5. In order to ensure the safety of students and staff, HSE will begin offering the measles vaccine on campus once again starting February 19. Read below to learn more about measles and the measles vaccine.

Registration for HSE Electives Is Open

Electives are open to HSE students as well as students of other Moscow universities and people who have a general interest in the subject.

HSE Hosts Workshop on Varieties of Democracy

On April 5 and 6, Professor Staffan Lindberg from the Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg (Sweden) was invited to speak at HSE as part of a workshop on the Varieties of Democracy. The workshop was hosted by HSE’s School of Political Science and the Modernization Mobilization in Eurasia (MME) Project. The MME team carries out data-oriented studies of political participation and institutional transformation in China, Russia, Germany, Iran, Turkey and Japan.

On April 11 during the XVIIIth April International Academic Conference in HSE Professor Milan Svolik (Yale University) made his honorary presentation "When Polarization Trumps Civic Virtue: Partisan Conflict and the Subversion of Democracy by Incumbents". After his presentation Milan Svolik had a meeting with PoliSci students participating in the research project "50 shades of authoritarianism” (Prof. Andrei Melville). We managed to talk with Prof. Svolik on the margins of the conference.
