Basic Arabic (Bachelor level; place of lecturing: Oriental Philology department; for 1st year students (modules 1-4) and 2nd year students (modules 1-2).

Syllabus of the Course «Basic Arabic» aims at teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) to the non-speaking students starting from zero-Level. MSA linguistic system is being concurrently taught on the basis of Arabic and Russian Grammar traditional schools tooled with both linguistics terminology. As a result of this method systemic perception of lingual units and functional ties in MSA is reached through understanding of the language's inner charachter. During the curriculum learning students gain comprehensive competence at writing, reading, articulating and speaking at the level outlined in the Course Programme the basic skills and primary goals of which are translation/communication in Arabic.
