Modern telecommunication  systems are  sophisticated objects operating under  various real-life scenarios. Therefore elaborate mathematical  methods are to be used in order to investigate the performance of the existing communication systems and to design  the future generation ones. These methods include information theory methods, coding theory methods, LTI systems  theory methods  and graph theory methods. Within the scope of this course these and a number of other mathematical methods that can be used for modern communication systems investigation are considered.
