Psychology of cognition
Cognitive psychology is a field studying the processes of acquiring, representation, storage, transformation, and use of information, knowledge, and experience. In the spring semester of 2015-2016 you will be studying three such processes: Sensation, Perception, and Attention. These three main sections are divided into 12 topics.
Your in-class work will include 19 lectures and 19 seminars given in the 3rd and the 4th modules. Beside this, there will be two mid-term points. The first one is an interview on topics 2 and 3 that will be held approx. at the beginning of March. The second mid-term point is a test on a paper about attention. You have to choose one of those options, read them, and pass a test asking you about what you’ve read. Presumably, the test will take place at the end of May or the beginning of June.At the end of June, you will pass a Final exam that will consist of two parts: (1) a test, and (2) an oral interview on randomly assigned questions and around.
