The course offers an interdisciplinary economic and legal material  which provides students   the alternative concepts of legal regulation of financial transactions, advanced level  problems of debt financing and corporate financial instruments. In an integrated manner we’ll discuss how financial transactions are regulated in Russia and abroad, in the European Union and United States; what trends prevail in the development of regulatory policy in the financial markets;  what is the legal nature of the financing and modern financial institutions; which  legal problems faced by the subjects of financial transactions; what is the heart of  the legal regulation of the financial markets and how one can increase the level of  fairness of such regulation; what  concepts to reform the mechanisms of functioning
of the financial markets exist? Some WTO and World Bank standards will be discussed in class as well.
