Abstract
The objectives of the discipline are to familiarize the masters' students with the conceptual foundations of genomics as a modern comprehensive fundamental discipline on the organization, structure and functioning of genomes; the ways of formation and evolution of proteomes, the formation of a common molecular worldview based on knowledge of the mechanisms for constructing genomes of different levels of complexity; mastering the skills of genoinformation analysis; familiarization with the universal principles of construction and functioning of genomes and proteomes.
Learning Objectives
Expected Learning Outcomes
- should know: Patterns of the organization of the genomes and proteomes of organisms of different groups; Basics of the functioning of genomes and proteomes The role of various genetic elements Basics of structural analysis of genomes Basics of proteomic analysis
- should be able to: Assess the role of various elements of the genome in evolution; Apply knowledge of the structure, organization, levels of functioning, stability and polymorphism of genomes; Focus on problems solved at the level of knowledge of proteomes; Acquire skills in solving any general biological problems, based on new knowledge of genomes and proteomes.
