Course Syllabus

Abstract

The seminar is held in a format of discussion of papers presenting a design of PhD research and its preliminary results. Papers are preliminary disseminated to discussants and participants of the seminar. Seminar starts with a presentation of paper that is followed by a discussion, in which the official discussants, academic supervisors, faculty members, and other PhD students take place. Семинар проводится в формате обсуждения научных докладов по итогам диссертационного исследования. Тексты научных докладов, отражающие дизайн исследования и его предварительные результаты, предварительно рассылаются дискутантам и участникам семинара. В обсуждении принимают участие научные руководители аспирантов и преподаватели департамента.

  • The Research Seminar aims at discussion of the preliminary results of PhD research with peers and faculty for revealing possible lacunas in arguments and to enhance further research.

    Paper for the Research Seminar should present a general design of PhD research as well as its preliminary results. The paper should be submitted for a dissemination to the seminar’s participants a week before the seminar. The presentation at the seminar is folloed by a discussion of faculty and PhD students.
