Course Syllabus

Abstract

This unit outlines the challenges for the development and transformation of business enterprise within the global economy, by focusing on the business strategy and dynamics of organisational change resulted from today’s globalization process. The unit provides a critical analysis of the consequences of globalisation for different economies to evaluate changes in multinational company’s adaptation to the current turbulent process. Course introduces students to the global economic dynamics between countries and market concepts. This module demonstrates interconnection such worldwide trends like globalization, digitalization, financial crisis, Covid and company’s business process. This is interdisciplinary module covers topics of International business, Marketing and Economics. Students will develop understanding of the issue’s businesses face when working in a globalised world and the impact such issues have on business operations

    Group task (2-3 team members). Analyze MNE performance in non-domestic and non-headquarter market following the structure provided during the class. Create 5-8 slides and deliver you results in class.

    In class questions discussion, comments, participation in surveys and voting at seminars.
  • non-blocking Longread
    Create an illustrated longread on the topic given by course instructor. In order to elaborate on the topic, you are expected to: - select brands/companies of your interest; - conduct desk research on the topic; - conduct short survey on a small sample (up to 100 respondents); - report the results in the form of illustrated longread.

    The exam consists of the open-ended questions. Students are expected to demonstrate analytical skills and integrative use of knowledge gained through their studying at the HSE University. Using any means of communication, AI services, jointly accessed documents and student interactions are NOT allowed. Using educational materials is allowed only on the shared screen recording by StartExam
