Course Syllabus
Abstract
The key objective of the course is to provide students with an opportunity to develop a solid understanding of business models, cost transformation, and non-financial performance management for profit and non-for-profit organisations. The course aims to develop the competencies necessary developing and controlling budgets, managing costs to create value within organizations as well as providing insights into the application of big data analytics in budgeting. It also considers divisional performance management, transfer pricing, and benchmarking. Lastly, the course offers fundamental knowledge on managing employee performance and organizational relations, behavioral dimensions of control, as well as aspects of building, leading and managing teams. This course provides an opportunity to apply skills and knowledge in practical project assessments that enable students to develop the ability to critically evaluate, interpret and discuss complex real-world scenarios, which are useful for employability.
