The course of Classical Japanese aims to deepen student's knowledge about the classical language and literature. First two modules are concentrated on a grammar of classical Japanese, in the third module students begin to read original texts. During the course we will read a literature of different periods and style. Among the texts are "The Encouragement of Learning" by Fukuzawa Yukichi, "Narrow Road to the Deep North" by Matsuo Basyo, "Collection of Tales from Uji", "Hundred Poets, Hundred Poems", "The Tales of Ise" etc.
