Course Syllabus

Abstract

The course provides a foundational understanding of essential topics in Energy Economics, enabling a grasp of contemporary themes within the field at a graduate level. Theoretical models and empirical data and evidence form the core of the course. The course will cover a variety of theoretical and empirical topics related to energy demand, energy supply, energy prices, environmental consequences of energy consumption and production, and various public policies affecting energy demand, supply, prices, and environmental effects.3 ECTS Language – EnglishLevel – Master programmePrerequisites: Microeconomics

  • The course provides a foundation in concepts in energy economics that helps for understanding modern environmental and resource economics; develops proficiency with theoretical and empirical tools that will be valuable for future self-directed research; and improves experience in reading, presenting, and discussing modern research in energy and environmental economics.
