Elaboration of the Common Energy Policy in the EU: the Case of Shale Gas

The study is characterized by a new approach to the analysis of regulating schemes for shale gas activities in the EU. Shale gas is positioned in a wider context of the European Energy policy. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the possibility of the further communitarization of the EU energy policy through establishing a new set of European regulations at the expense of the established competence of the EU member-states to determine national energy mix.
