The specificities of governing cultural diversity (cases of Russia and Canada).

The problem of governing cultural diversity is perhaps one of the most debatable issues nowadays. Due to the intensification of global migration even the countries with closed immigration policy nowadays experience the influx of newcomers. Therefore, the vast number of the states requires an effective model of governing culturally diverse and multiethnic populations.this thesis I attempt to compare the Russian and Canadian models of governing cultural diversity in order to highlight the similarities and specificities of the two systems and reveal the reasons for the distinctions. The results of this research might have practical value and be used for better understanding and improving Russian model of governing cultural diversity.
